THE NUDIST BEACHES OF TRIESTE & ISTRIA
FRIULI V.G. is a wild district and little known, one of the most famous destinations is Lignano Sabbiadoro, ideal if you are looking for beach clubs but it isn’t as beautiful and special as the coast around Trieste. ‘Andare al bagno’ (i.e. going to the sea) is a typical expression of Trieste to indicate the beach club, but from the pine forest of Barcola up to Miramare, Trieste is a whole promenade of rocky coastline and crystal clear waters similar to those that you can find dipping in the sea of Croatia.

An diesem wunderschöenen Strand ist das Meer warm und die Sonne scheint im Sommer bis 21:00 Uhr, das Wasser ist immer sauber, man kann die Tiefe sehen. Hier trifft man Naturisten aus Trieste, Gorizia, Pordenone, Udine, Treviso, Slovenien und Kroatien. Da der Fußweg etwas beschwerlich ist, kommen vorwiegend jüngere Naturisten hier her. Don't miss it ! Der Strand und sein Klima erlauben Baden bis mindestens 20.30 Uhr. Publikum: Mindestens 90 % männliche Nackt(sonnen)badende. Auf der Hauptstrand herrscht viel am Wochenende dichteres Beisammensein als auf den bekleideten Stränden. Total entblößte Körper dicht an dicht, fast wie in der Sauna. Ein Blick auf Gay-Cruising-Karten im Internet bestätigt: Dortige Badeorte werden als Hotspots weiterempfohlen. So schreibt ein User: «Es ist ein wunderschönes FKK-Gebiet. Auch in Sachen Sex läuft da einiges.»
Mit dem öffentlichen Bootservice erreichen Sie die Bucht von
Sistiana von dem Hafen von Triest oder von Miramare. Von dort, durch
Portopiccolo, ca. 10 Gehminuten zu den FKK-Stränden. Mit dem Bus Linie 51 : ein
asphaltierter Gehweg führt von der Bundestrasse 14,
kurz nach dem Ortschild Sistiana- bergab zu dem
Touristendorf Portopiccolo. Wann unten angekommen,
ein flacher Weg

Wenn Sie mit dem Auto fahren und nicht bergauf und bergab zu Fuß gehen wollen, können Sie ganz bequem runter fahren zum Parkplatz in der Baia Sistiana oder noch besser zum Parkhaus im Touristendorf Portopiccolo.

FKK-Stränden (nur 300 Metern zu Fuß).
Wenn Sie Geld ersparen wollen, nach 17.30 Uhr kann man in der Bai Sistiana kostenlos parken. Von dort, durch Portopiccolo, in ca. 10 Minuten zu den FKK-Stränden.
In Portopiccolo kostet das Parken (Stand 2019) 1,50 euro pro Stunde. Die erste Stunde ist immer gratis und ab 19.00 Uhr ist es kostenlos. Den Ticket muss man immer vor der Ausfaht bei den Kassen-Automaten validieren, auch wenn man kein Geld zahlen muss).

of beaches, cruises, sporting clubs, saunas and spas, naked parties, nude
festivals, naked runs.... all cater to customers who
feel more comfortable in the nude.
Free nude Beach Costa dei Barbari ( Sistiana)
These narrow, rocky, very scenic Fkk beaches near Sistiana draw on their different zones a crowd of male nudists, families and some textiles. This location is about 2 kilometers south from Sistiana. Crystal clear waters and a tolerant, relaxed atmosphere with both nude and swimsuited folks.. Isolated beaches are surrounded by high shrubs, craggy rocks and driftwood.. The nude zone also includes the portion of water within the cove, which made this area equally popular with boaters. Several boats were anchored just a short swim away from the beach, where their passengers lay nude on the deck..
Beyond
the beaches, flat rocky cliffs extend
for a few kilometers.. It is very easy
to traverse these outcrops, which are
also clothing optional.. Lots of
secluded spots behind rocks for some
"outdoor fun," too..
Although Costa dei barbari may have a
steep path and not the easiest beach to
climb, but it is definitely worth
visiting on account of its natural
delight and it is truly a paradise for
naturists. That's where you find the
young naturists -- manies are in their
20s and 30s. Average age range: The most
common age in the wild northern part
(mixed) is 30/45, on the main (mainly
gay) beach is 25/40, in the southernmost
( family & couples) part is 35/55.

Sistiana Bay, from there a 10 minute
hike to the south ( left of Beach
Restaurant Castelreggio and through
Marina Portopiccolo ) leads you to the
clothing optional beaches, which are
situated on small tidal coves, and then
to the main nudist beach.
This is one of the renowned beach
destination for nudists and frequented
by lot of locals and foreign tourists
due to its unique ambience and different
range of clientele found here. Has this
got you intrigued ? Costa Dei Barbari is
hardly a 15 minutes drive by car from
Trieste downtown, commencing from
Sistiana along the coastal road heading
towards Trieste. This beach is well
connected through some good transport
facilities (bus 51) to reach this
destination. The more beautiful beach
lies in the middle ( see pictures above
) The main beach is very popular with
gay nudist males. It's clothing optional
here, but nudity is expected. The
lovely natural surroundings makes it a
popular tourist attraction.
It can get crowded here on weekends
in summer, but we can say say that's a
great time to join in if you're new to
it. You'll blend in to a naked young
male adults crowd. No need to feel self
conscious.
It provides good sights. The
large majority of people on the northern
part and on the main beach are males,
while families and females prefer the
extreme southern part of shoreline, just
before the hotel Europa. Due to mostly
male and generally young and very well
looking clientele the main beach is very
popular with gays. Barbari is quite a
narrow beach with white cobbles and
pebbles. It’s also very picturesque,
completely surrounded by nature and
often cited as one of the Top 15 Beaches
In Italy. Costa Dei Barberi is also the
main gay beach in this northern region
of Italy so frequently receives visiting
gays from nearby Slovenia, Austria and
Croatia. During the week It is less crowded
as compared to the other beaches and has
remarkably clean waters, with a coastal
rock, which makes it the most sought
after destination among the visitors.
Moreover, this beach has been officially
designated as a nudist beach and hence
people who enjoy nudist activities can
surely enjoy the unique experience to
seek greater pleasure and relaxation..
Biggest surprise, especially on
weekends, will be the many people as
young as 20/30 on the main beach and
that everyone is so casual with the
whole naked thing, walking around au
naturel ! On weekends it much more
crowded than during the week, and there
are some more girls there than on many
weekdays. This is one of the few nude
beaches where the under-30 age group is
well-represented, easily making up
between one-third and one-half of the
weekend crowd on average.
To reach it from Trieste, by car or
bus, just entered the village of
Sistiana in front of the Bus Stop ( n.
51) a road leds down to Portopiccolo
harbour, then a path along the sea to
the nude beach direction south ( 300
mts.) If you do not like steep paths,
you can park your car in the Bay of
Sistiana or in Portopiccolo (after 5 PM
free parking) and then walk about 1 km.

This coastline has no
services, but perhaps this is why it has
maintained its wild beauty. You can
reach it by sea if you have (or rent) a
boat.
Those who are there for several hours
may alternate between nudity and
swimsuits as the spirit moves them and
it's no big deal.. Unlike some
"familiar" nude beaches, the northern
part offers a freewheeling and indulgent
naturist experience for singles and
couples. No families or children here..
You can sit on these cliffs with the
ocean surging just meters below.. On the
right day, the waves crash like
thunderclaps and white foam and spray
lift high in the air.. If you do not
enjoy the heat of the beach, you can
nestle beneath large stones to escape
the breeze and find any degree of
privacy you might prefer.. You can only
hear the sounds of nature and some quiet
friendly maritime conversation, and on
occasion you can see dolphins from the
peak of these rocks.
SPIAGGIA NUDISTA LIBURNIA - costiera triestina
Der ca. 5 km lang FKK-Strand besteht aus einer Vielzahl von kleinen und großen FKK-Badebuchten mit Kiesel- und Felsstränden, teilweise mit Felsplateaus.
This familiar nude beach is full of a mixed group of people, ranging from families with children to couples. On any given weekend there are hundreds of people, so get there early and bring suntan lotion. As a familiar nude beach, overt public sex is definitely frowned upon, but in-ocean cuddling and kissing is tolerated.
Age range is 35/45 and male/female ratio is 70/30. In the northern section ( in the picture ) you can find single young guys or couple of male friends in the 30's. From Sistiana take the coastal road for Trieste, passed the highway park your car in the layby placed 150 meters before the gallery. Follow the path that goes down the cliff: it begins with iron stairs that comes out on a steep, uneven path leading directly to the beach. If you prefer to go down from Canovella (stairway), when you are on the beach turn left and stop when you see nude people. Bring with you shoes for swimming and an air-bed to lay down on the beach.
SPIAGGIA NUDISTA DEI FILTRI - costiera triestina
Just a few kilometers before the
previously listed beach, this beach is
another alternative for nudists in the
Trieste area.
Although
not widely known to tourists, the beach
has a local following due to the
advocacy of a local naturist group. The
nudist beach is reached from Via
Piccard, a dead end near the Santa Croce
intersection leading to the Bellariva
restaurant and its beautiful textile
beach.
Then you have to walk 1 km. to the right until you see naked people sunbathing : just follow along the foreshore towards the Marine Biology Laboratory and small port. After passing a small wooded area, there is a beautiful beach that has fresh water from a spring.
Nude beaches, clothing optional travel nude spa and pools and nude recreation have exploded in popularity over the last 5 years. It doesn't occur to vary many people how to camp nude.

most famous naturist centre on the
Adriatic and one of the oldest in
Europe, founded in 1961, Campsite
Koversada is a relaxed paradise of
clothes-free living that puts you in
contact with nature so you can freely
celebrate life.The best places to work
on your tan are the stone and paved
plateaus that ease into the water. For
those who enjoy swimming more, there are
pebble beaches and a rare sandy beach in
Koversada.There are 1,700 pitches (all
with 10A electricity), a shopping centre
and its own island, which is reached by
a narrow bridge; the island is suitable
only for tents and has a restaurant and
two toilet blocks. Between the island
and the mainland is an enclosed, shallow
section of water for swimming. The site
is surrounded by a long beach, part
sand, part paved. The pitches are of
average size on grass and gravel ground
and slightly sloping. Pitches on the
mainland are numbered and partly
terraced beneath mature pine and olive
trees. Pitches on the island are
unmarked and have shade from mature
trees. The bottom row of pitches on the
mainland enjoy views over the island and
the sea.
Some
nudist campgrounds are, weather permitting, nudity-required. Others may
be deemed as clothing optional campgrounds. That said, almost all nude friendly
camping facilities will require people to be nude in the pool, lake or sauna.
The term clothing
optional means that each individual has the right to determine the amount of
nudity he / she feels comfortable with. But if there are areas where being naked
is a must, those people will need to disrobe if they want to use those specific
facilities.

One of the most persistent questions, especially, but
not solely, from new nudists with free beach experience; is some variation of:
'Why on free nude are there so many naked men and so few naked women?
Just why do so many more men than women seem to enjoy social nudity?
One
of the most persistent questions

men and so few nude young women?'
The free nude beaches are patronized mostly by men but only lightly sprinkled with a few older women.
There doesn't seem to be any consistent answer to this question. The question tends to fade into the background - that's just 'how it is.'
But maybe there is a reason. A biological reason.
International surveys have ranked a series of 'human qualities.' The two most universally appreciated qualities are: kindness and honesty. Not a big surprise. But the third on the list showed a distinct male - female dichotomy. For men it is 'beauty' and for women it is 'security.' So, the fundamental things distinguishing the male and female psyche is the seeking of form or fortune, respectively.
For the human species, men are thus impelled by the beauty of form, while women seek security (which these days is conflated with wealth), from the perspective of the best survivability for the offspring, and themselves.
Now, surely: it's obvious! Initially, men are driven to visit a 'nude beach' to 'check-out the chicks and/or the other guys.'
Young women, on the other hand, not having the same biological need, may simply turn up for a bit of relaxation - only to discover a man or two too many, primarily there to ogle.
So they don't go back! That's why men find virtually no 'chicks' on the nude beach.
A lot of men though, discover new values on the free nude beaches: total relaxation without women, the pleasant sight of handsome naked guys, maybe the ease of occasional sexual fun with them. So many of them keep going back !

Männer baden gerne nackt - und das
zahlt sich aus: Sie geben jährlich
lediglich 22 Euro für Bademode aus. Mit
rund 44 Euro lassen Frauen das Doppelte
für den perfekten Strandlook springen.
Also einfach mal alle Sorgen und Hüllen
fallen lassen und der Tradition der
Freikörperkultur wieder eine Chance
